Firstly you need to decide whether you're using the Original hair oil treatment or the light hair oil, using the light version is your hair is prone to becoming oily or over shiny.
Wet Hair
Predominantly people use Moroccanoil on wet hair after a shower or bath. Using a similar amount as displayed below and working it into the ends.
The reason we avoid using Moroccanoil hair oil on our roots is because this is the newest hair, it doesn't need replenishment and it makes hair looks greasy very quickly.
Dry or style as normal, leaving your hair to dry naturally if you wish.

Using 2 to 5 pumps of the Moroccanoil Original Hair Oil Treatment or Light Hair Oil Treatment
Working it through the ends of your hair again, avoiding the roots as it will make your hair appear greasy
